Tragedy (by The Boarders)

from Memos and Demos by various artists including Doug Hubley

/

about

This is the second original in the Boarders catalog from Jonathan Nichols-Pethick, the drummer, who had previously contributed "All Over" to the Cowlix. Jon co-wrote this song with his wife, Nancy. I added a signature riff and a few lyrics, and heightened the S&M overtones a bit (or so I would like to believe).

Here's the band playing it in rehearsal on Dec. 5, 1995: Doug Hubley, guitar and vocal. Jon Nichols-Pethick, drums. Gretchen Schaefer, bass.. Dropped line: "You say, 'I need another drink.'"
