about

The FJ's first recording session. It was an unseasonably chilly night in August (1982 was one of those years without much summer in Maine). "Shortwave" was one of the first songs I wrote for the FJ and it persisted in the repertoire through the Cowlix, Boarders and Howling Turbines. This rendition is way too fast; I'm not sure if we ever used it for its intended purpose as a demo.
